Privacy policy

We are a honey shop, not an advertising company. We collect as little as we can get away with and we do not sell any of it.

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, email, phone number, delivery address and what you bought. Payment is handled entirely by Wix and its payment processor, Elavon — your card details go to them and never touch this website or our own systems.

When you contact us: your name, email and whatever you write in the message, so we can reply.

When you browse: we do not currently run any analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not set tracking cookies of our own. Your basket is saved in your browser's own storage on your device, not on our servers — we never see what is in it until you check out. Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information (like IP address and browser type) for every site on the internet, the same way a phone company logs that a call happened without listening to it; we do not use those logs for anything beyond keeping the site running and secure. If that changes — for example, if we add Google Analytics — we will update this page to say so plainly, not bury it.

Who else sees it

• Wix and Elavon — host our checkout, process payments and hold order records. See Wix's privacy policy and Elavon's privacy policy for how each of them handles it.
• USPS — needs your name and address to deliver your order.
• Resend — delivers the email when you use our contact form. It only ever carries what you typed.
• Vercel — hosts this website and, like any host, processes basic server logs to keep it running.
• Google Maps — only if you press the button to load the map on our Visit page. It sets its own cookies at that point, which is why it does not load on its own.

That is the complete list. Nobody buys data from us, because we do not sell it.

How long we keep it

Order records for as long as tax rules require. Contact messages for up to two years, then deleted.

Your choices

Email henriettahoneyllc@gmail.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No forms, no hoop-jumping. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front — but ask and we will confirm that in writing. We also honor browser "Do Not Track" signals by simply never tracking you in the first place.

Children's privacy

This site is meant for adults placing an order or getting in touch. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and if we learn we have, we will delete it.

Keeping it secure

We keep the information above to the minimum needed to run the shop, and rely on Wix, Elavon and Vercel's own security for anything they handle on our behalf — including all payment card data, which we never see. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as Ohio law requires.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or who we share it with changes, we will update this page and move the date below.
